Utah Mountain Wedding Locations | Davis County Wedding Photographer

As a wedding Photographer based in Davis County, Utah, you can bet that I know all of the best locations for your DREAM mountain wedding–even some locations that most don’t know about. After shooting hundreds of sessions in Utah, here are 3 of my favorite locations for Utah mountain weddings, read and see each of them below!

Provo Canyon, Utah

In the beautiful mountains of Utah lies a hidden gem of natural beauty and serenity: Provo Canyon. Imagine exchanging vows on an open field with towering mountains in the background, green forests to the side of you, listening to the river flowing off in the distance. All coming together to create an atmosphere of love and intimacy—a setting that makes a perfect location for saying “I do”. It’s no wonder that couples from near and far are drawn here for their special day!

From a Photographer’s standpoint, Provo Canyon is a playground of natural beauty and photographic opportunities waiting to be captured. From the glow of sunrise over the mountains to the vibrant colors of fall foliage reflected in the river, every moment in the canyon is a picture-perfect memory waiting to be preserved for a lifetime.

See some of the photos I have taken of one of my lovely couples on their special day at this beautiful location below!

Tibble Fork Reservoir

Escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse yourself in peacefulness tucked away in the heart of the Wasatch Mountains, Tibble Fork Reservoir. This hidden oasis gives off a sense of seclusion and intimacy that is hard to find elsewhere, allowing you to focus on what truly matters—celebrating your love in nature’s beauty without the distractions of the outside world.

Surrounded by towering pine trees and rugged mountain peaks, Tibble Fork Reservoir offers a breathtaking backdrop for your wedding day. The crystal-clear waters of the reservoir and views of the mountains create a setting that I am sure will leave a forever-lasting impression on you and your guests!

 Moab

Last and most certainly not least… and may or may not be my favorite, is Moab! This location is a bit different from the other two, but in a very good way! Instead of thinking of regular mountains with gray boulders, rough terrain, and pine trees, think of Moab as red rock mountains with smooth desert terrain. With its iconic red rock formations, towering mesas, and expansive desert vistas it makes a stunning scene for all weddings. Personally, it is one of the most captivating destinations that I have shot at and exudes rugged beauty and timeless romance. Moab offers a one-of-a-kind setting for couples seeking truly the most memorable wedding and elopement experience… and I have the pictures to prove it! See below, one of my beautiful couples wedding day with Moab’s sandstone arches and the glow of a desert sun shining through. I am saying and showing you all of this to say that the natural beauty of Moab will leave you and your guests in awe and will always be a wedding they will remember and talk about forever!
